Last night, the department of TeleCommunications tweeted this same. The tweet says that the Government extends WFH terms for IT and ITES companies until December 31st.

As of now, 85% of the total IT employees are working from home. The employees who are performing critical activities are working from offices. In March, the Department of Telecommunications extended the norms until April.

These were further extended to July and now finally extended until December 31st. As the number of cases of the corona is increasing day by day in the country, the employees are preferring to work from home

Also, almost all the companies are asking their employees to continue to work from home. Some companies like Infosys, TCS, etc are working on models to enable their employees to permanently work from home.

Their motive is to not let 100% of the total employees work from offices, at any given time.
